- If signs and materials are ordered for the event, they can be used again in the future. If this is not possible, choices are made taking into account the principle of reasonable resource use.
- The supporters' existing banners and flags are also used repeatedly, and new ones are ordered only if needed. This year, we will collect the neckbands that have been used at other events and give them a new chance to fulfill their purpose.
- Information material about the FIS Nordic Combined World Cup Otepää is distributed to all participants, including athletes, without using printed materials - the information is going to be posted on the event's website and social media.
- At the flower ceremony, athletes are not presented with cut flowers, but with products from an Estonian manufacturer. Flower ceremony prizes this time are from Kristines Cakes, MAQUS ja Mäe-Püssa mesi.
Why do we do this? Because overconsumption wastes our already limited resources. We produce more than we can consume and take more than we give back. If everyone consumes sensibly and uses what we already have, we won't need a new planet in the future.
